Jennifer Hecker received a BFA in Studio Art from the University of New Mexico in 1996. While in school she studied various types of printmaking including lithography, serigraphy, engraving, etching and photography. After graduating she moved to Austin, Texas and worked as an apprentice in a digital print studio finding new inspiration in the digital medium.

Ms. Hecker's work unites Expressionism with eastern and western elements in a bold and original style that also acknowledges the graphic qualities of the Pop Art movement and comic books. She produces striking color prints, not easily defined, with a technique she developed combining hand-drawn images with mixed media and digital printmaking.

Jennifer's work has been on display in Boston's Center for the Arts and the J. Demeri Gallery in Rockport, Massachusetts.
